How to Use an Allen Wrench
- 1). Make sure that the wrench is the appropriate size for the screw.
- 2). Line up the screw with the screw hole in the joint or object. Turn the screw in the hole enough times to get it started and set in line.
- 3). Insert the short side of the Allen wrench with the hexagonal head into the indentation in the screw head.
- 4). Grip the long end of the Allen wrench and turn the screw with the torque of the wrench until the screw is flush.
- 5). Remove the wrench from the screw head.
- 6). Check that the screw is secure and make needed adjustments with the wrench.
