Installation of Wood Windowpane Frames
- 1). Push the window slides on the inside of the window frame so that they are midway down the frame and even with each other on each side of the frame, using a flathead screwdriver.
- 2). Hold the top window sash with the top side facing up and the exterior side facing the exterior of the house. You should be standing on the interior side of the window opening. Tilt one bottom corner down so that the window sash will fit between the frame and rest the slide catch on the bottom corner to rest on the window slide that is closest to the exterior.
- 3). Pivot the opposite bottom corner down onto the opposing window slide that is nearest the exterior of the window frame. Raise the window sash up and depress the tabs on the top corners to allow it to pass by the frame and into the slots nearest the exterior of the window opening. Release the tabs.
- 4). Slide the top sash up to the top of the window opening.
- 5). Hold the bottom window sash with the bottom facing down and the exterior side facing toward the exterior of the window opening.
- 6). Pivot the sash into the window opening and install it in the same manner as you did the top sash. Slide the sash down to the bottom of the window opening.
- 7). Close the lock on the center of the window where the top of the bottom sash joins with the bottom of the top sash.
