Build An Amazing Upper Body Alright, let me start by saying don't forget to work your legs.
I know its a weird thing to start off saying on an upper body article but really they are super important, and by building them you will be truthfully increasing your overall strength.
Okay, enough said regarding that! When trying to build a great upper body you need to focus on compound exercises.
I see so many people at the gym sitting around doing concentration curls, or if they are really into it they are trying preacher curls.
While, those are good exercises if you want to build a great body you have to focus on getting powerful.
So what do I mean getting powerful.
While that means you have to focus on strength building exercises that get you really pushing weight.
Compound exercises, meaning exercises that you are moving more than one joint at a time.
The ones that I recommend and the ones that you should build your workouts around are; bench press, overhead press, chin ups, dips and rows.
Now I am not saying go out and do these exercises everyday, but what i am saying is build your routine around these.
There is no reason that during your back and bicep day you cant do some curls, but you should be focusing your strength building lifts on chinups (or pulldowns if you cant do chinups) rows and then doing curls after.
Really these exercises are what is going to make you stronger, and by getting stronger your upper body will start looking amazing.
The other part of the equation is diet.
now I am not going to ramble on about this, because you know its important but if I tell you to eat chicken breast every meal from now till you die you aren't going to do it.
Instead, I want to focus on your post workout meal.
This is the meal that is the most important for people trying to get in better shape.
You should have a shake after you workout, with whey powder and creatine in it.
it should be consumed within about 30 to 45 min of completing your routine.
Please keep these in mind when you are getting working out, building a amazing looking upper body is hard work.
But you can do it, you have to focus on getting stronger and feeding your muscles with the stuff they need, trust me this will work for you!
