Naan Kadavul Movie Preview
The movie Naan Kadavul is about a boy (Arya), who gets thrown out of his house due to his arrogant father's superstitious beliefs. He gets frustrated and goes to Vaaranasi, where lives with the Saadhu's there and becomes a long haired bearded person. His father later realizes his mistakes and wants his son back. He goes in search of his son and is totally shocked to find him in that state. The rest of the movie revolves around what happens when he bring him back to TamilNadu and some incidents that happen in Vaaranasi. Actress Pooja plays the female lead in this movie. She has said that this role would make everyone take notice of her acting talent.
There are whole lot of newcomers in the star casts that includes Rajendran, a popular stunt artiste, director Singampuli, producer Azhagam Thamizhmani, an eunuch Keerthana and a physically challenged singer Kovai Krishnamurthy.
Jaya Mohan famous composer of Tamil literary work has penned the dialogues for this movie. The entire star cast has dubbed in their own voice in order to be eligible for the National awards.
A total of 450 actors form a part of this film and this includes several handicapped children. Over 48 physically challenged persons, who know nothing about cinema had been to Chennai to dub in their own voice. A team of doctors attended them in case of emergency during the shoot. This is the first time a director in India has made such an effort and for this he was felicitated on World Handicapped Day.
Lyricist Vaali has written the lyrics for this film and the great legend Maestro Illayaraja has composed the music for this film. The film is to be released on February 6th 2009 and the whole of South Indian film fraternity is awaiting its release!
