How to Setup the Akai AT-A301
- 1). Turn off and unplug the AT-A301. This is a standard precaution against unexpected feedback when forming connections between audio components.
- 2). Connect the AT-A301's RCA-format audio cable to the input of your stereo system or speakers. Make sure the connectors are firmly seated in the correct ports.
- 3). Plug the AT-A301's FM antenna into the appropriately labeled port on the back of the device.
- 4). Attach the AT-A301's AM antenna to the appropriately labeled antenna clips on the back. You may need to loosen the clips a few turns using a Philips head screwdriver to make room for the antenna connectors. Retighten the screws once the connectors are inserted.
- 5). Plug in the device and press "Power." The AT-A301 will turn on and will now be ready for use.
- 6). Use the button labeled "Band" to switch between AM and FM modes. The current mode will be displayed on the AT-A301's LCD.
- 7). Select a radio station by pressing "+" or "-" on the device's front panel.
- 8). Use the AT-A301's memory function to save a particular station for later recall by pressing "Memory" followed by the numbered button to which you want to save the station. Each numbered button represents two station presets: pressing it once will save the current station to the first number and pressing it twice in rapid succession will save the station to the second number. There are 16 possible preset numbers.
- 9). Use the "Scan" function to cycle through the established presets. Each preset will play for several seconds before moving on to the next. Pressing the scan button a second time will halt scanning.
