How to Take a CD Player Out of a Truck
- 1). Grab the lip of the bezel that goes around the climate controls and pull the bezel toward you to release the clips holding it to the dash. Set the bezel to the side.
- 2). Unbolt the stock stereo from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Slide the CD player away from the dash.
- 3). Pull the CD player the rest of the way out of the dash using your hands and then unplug all wiring and connections to the stereo by hand.
