How to Make Your BlackBerry Notify You When You Get a Text While Talking on the Phone
- 1). Scroll up to the speaker icon on your BlackBerry's home screen and select it. Select "Change Sounds and Alerts" from the menu that appears on the screen.
- 2). Select "Profile Management" from the list of options. Select the profile that you want to alter. Your current profile will have a checkmark next to it, so choose that one if you don't ever alter your profiles. If you want to make text messages play a noise through the earpiece for all profiles, you will have to complete this entire process for each one.
- 3). Scroll down to "Messages - Notifiers" and select it to open up a small menu. Scroll down to "Text Messages" and select it.
- 4). Scroll to the bottom of the screen where you will find the "Exception Conditions" area. Scroll to "Notify Me During Calls" and select it, which will make a small checkmark appear in the box next to it.
- 5). Press the "BlackBerry" button and choose "Save" from the list of options.
