How to Install Windows XP on a Separate Computer
- 1). Call 1-877-696-7786 to purchase a new product key for your existing Windows XP installation CD.
- 2). Shut down the computer in which you want to install Windows XP.
- 3). Insert the Windows XP installation disc in the CD/DVD ROM drive. You should have gotten this disc when you purchased the first computer. If you do not have the disc, you can get one from any electronic store.
- 4). Start the computer. You should get the following prompt: "Press any key to boot from CD."
- 5). Press any key to initiate the installation process.
- 6). Press "Enter" in the blue screen to set up Windows XP.
- 7). Press "F8" to agree "Windows XP Licensing Agreement."
- 8). Press "Enter" to select "Unpartitioned space." This should be selected by default.
- 9). Hit "Enter" to select "Format the partition using the NTFS file system." Once again, this should be selected by default. This will initiate the formatting process.

Personalize the software page by entering your name and organization during the setup process. - 11
Enter the product key you obtained in Step 1. - 12
Follow the rest of the prompts to complete XP setup.
