How to Create a Windows XP SP2 Boot USB Device
- 1). Insert the USB drive into your machine.
- 2). Open the Disk Storage Format Tool, select the drive letter of the USB drive from the drop-down menu, and choose the FAT32 file system from the other drop-down menu.
- 3). Click on the "Start" button to configure the disk.
- 4). Open the Drive Key Boot Utility and select the drive letter of your USB drive.
- 5). Choose the option to "Create New Configuration" and tick off the option next to "Hard Drive."
- 6). Select the option to "Create New File System" and choose the "Firmware Flash Package." After the operating completes you will have a working USB boot disk.
