Ab workouts are the core of many peoples workout routines.
  They do hundreds of crunches or sit ups and many take to machine based ab workouts where you either fold yourself in half like a burrito or twist yourself in a half circle back and forth like a lawn sprinkler that just can't seem to make it all the way around.
I admit, I was into these things back when I thought I could target fat loss and I hit those ab workout machines like crazy thinking I was on the right track and finally going to get rid of my stomach fat and have rock hard abs like my heroes in the fitness magazines.
  Boy was I wrong! The secret ingredient that was missing in my recipe to build a better body was nutrition.
  I paid a nutritionist to write me up a meal plan and exercise routine.
  Before we even got started, he said he wanted me to write down everything I ate for a week.
I did as he asked and I was very honest.
  As you might guess, as soon as he saw the list of food he shook his head and mumbled something and told me we had a lot of work to do.
