Psychological Side Effects

• Some psychological side effects have, in rare instances, been linked to Cozaar use, including anxiety, depression and panic disorder.
  
  

Physical Side Effects

• Other rare possible Cozaar side effects include anemia, blurred vision, constipation, erectile dysfunction, fibromyalgia, gout, hair loss, migraine headache and urinary tract infections.
  
  

Allergic Reaction

• Although unlikely, an allergic reaction to Cozaar can occur. Signs include rash, itching, throat or facial swelling, severe dizziness and difficulty breathing.
  
  

Potassium Levels

• Cozaar may raise potassium levels in the blood, which can cause muscle weakness or an exceedingly slow heartbeat.
  
  

Rhabdomyolysis

• An additional unlikely side effect is a condition called rhabdomyolysis, which causes the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue and can cause kidney damage. Symptoms include muscle pain or weakness, fever, nausea and dark urine.
