- The basic photo modes included with the Olympus Evolt E-500 are auto, landscape, portrait, night-scene portrait, macro and sports. You can also choose settings for specific scenes, such as beach and snow. Program, aperture-priority, shutter-priority and manual modes give you the most control over the camera.
- The camera records photos in JPEG, TIFF and RAW file formats with a 4:3 aspect ratio. A 2.5-inch monitor allows you to review photos and adjust camera settings. Available color parameters include vivid, natural and muted. The Evolt E-500 offers single auto-focus, continuous auto-focus and manual focus modes. The Evolt's self-timer options include 12-second and two-second settings.
