We have came across this phrase which is "You are what you eat".
But have we ever scratched our brains by even slightly thinking of what it is emphasizing upon, and thought about it even once while selecting our meal? This phrase, in a certain manner proves to be correct.
Indeed we do turn out to be what we consume.
If we ever take our blood sample and have a look at our blood plasma just after having a whole hamburger made from a fast food restaurant, we would find out that all the fats and cholesterol consumed by us as a result of that burger made our plasma liquid from clear to cloudy and more viscous.
But if we start to ponder over it we can also overcome this habit of wrong food selection.
By preferring vegetables based diet over meaty and more of a carnivorous diet, we can prune all the unnecessary fat out of our body and thus we can lessen the strong tendency towards many types of cancerous diseases and our immunity level goes up.
The cholesterol level gets better and normal and so do our health.
If we are thin and more smart and abstain ourselves from consuming more and more dairy products, many of the health and fitness related issues are resolved or minimized.
Certain diseases which if not properly controlled prove fatal such as diabetes and blood pressure are very much normalized by controlling our diet.
And when we get a healthy diet, not only it makes us fit but also strengthens our immunity a lot and so we get reduced to very few medication, although they are a part of our health plan, but on the other side, a healthier diet also helps to save few money for the expenses that medicines cost us.
But if we have an inherited tendency towards high cholesterol or blood pressure throughout our family, then there's no such need to rely on changing our eating habits and look for a diet plan.
But if we include more vegetables in our diet rather than meat and adopt more of a vegetarian diet then it would not only make us smart and healthy but also we live longer and more immune to diseases in industrialized countries.
Health and smartness with a long life ahead shows that it is never too late to make positive changes to some part of ourselves if it equalizes to a longer and fitter life.
