How to Remove Patch Glue
- 1). Heat the iron the warmest setting (usually the "linen" setting).
- 2). Spread the cloth where the adhesive is on the ironing board so that the patch or the patch glue is facing away from where you will be ironing. You may need to turn the garment inside out.
- 3). Spread a cloth over the area with the adhesive or patch.
- 4). Iron over the adhesive or patch with the cloth in between for 15 to 20 seconds.
- 5). Peel the patch slowly off of the cloth so that as much glue comes off with it as possible. If there is no patch and only glue, scrape the glue with the credit card until as much as possible is removed.
- 6). Saturate any remaining glue with the lighter fluid and dab with the cloth until all of the glue has been removed.
