• WD-40 can be used for more than just oiling a squeaky hinge. According to Reader's Digest, WD-40 can also loosen the hold of strong adhesives such as super glue. For instance, if your fingers are glued together, spray a little WD-40 between them. In no time at all they should be able to wiggle loose. • Petroleum breaks down super glue over time. Rubbing petroleum jelly on an item on which you cannot use acetone will help loosen the adhesive bond of super glue. This may take a bit longer, but it is milder for those with sensitive skin and less damaging to finished furniture.
