The Differences Between a Garmin Nuvi 750 & 760
- Garmin Ltd. is a top producer of global positioning system, or GPS, navigation devices primarily designed for motor vehicle use. The Nuvi 750 and 760 are two models in the 700 series that have been discontinued. They both have voice prompts, points-of-interest databases and 4.3-inch diagonal touch screens in addition to many other identical specifications. Other than a few specific features, the two models are decidedly similar.
- The Nuvi 760 is Bluetooth wireless compatible, while the Nuvi 750 is not. This allows the 760 to act as a headset for your mobile phone. When a call comes in, the information is displayed on the screen, and the 760 will filter through its speakers the audio from the call.
- The Nuvi 760 is compatible with FM Traffic, which provides traffic alerts and alternate routes from FM radio reports via the GPS unit. The Nuvi 750 is not compatible. An FM receiver is required to take advantage of FM Traffic, and the GPS unit must be compatible with the service. The 760 comes with an FM receiver.
- The Nuvi 760 is equipped with real-time traffic, which provides updates on the flow of traffic along your route. The Nuvi 750 does not have this feature.
