Building and Keeping Your Six Pack Abs

2
Six pack abs are a sign of extreme fitness and dedication.
Women also seem to think they look great on men as well.
Although some people can have six pack abs with minimal or no effort, for normal humans like us they require some work and dedication.
And not just getting six pack abs, but keeping them, requires a lot of determination and know how.
First of all, you need to build your ab muscles.
This part isn't too hard, as abs can be build somewhat quickly compared to other muscles.
The bad part is that they will fade away faster if you don't work them regularly.
There are several exercises that work well (although sit ups do not), and I prefer crunches because they are easy to do and can be done anywhere, for example even in the office and in hotel rooms.
I do 3 sets of 30, and squeeze tight on each rep, about every 2 days.
Also big power exercises like squats and deadlifts also work the abs quite effectively.
Besides building abs, you need to make them visible.
That means losing fat.
You need to diet as there is no such thing as "spot reducing.
" You can't just lose the fat over your abs, you need to lose overall body fat as well.
A combination of aerobic exercise and dieting is required for this.
Now I can't tell you what type of diet will work for you as we are all different, but both the Atkins and low fat diets work well for me.
