How to Connect a Motorola Cable Box to a DVD
- 1). Connect one end of the RCA cables to the output connections on your DVD player. Make sure you are plugging the yellow cable into the yellow port, the red cable into the red port, and the white cable into the white port on the back of the DVD player.
- 2). Attach the other end of the RCA cables to the input connections on the Motorola cable box. The box will likely have RCA output connections as well, so make sure you are plugging the RCA cables into the yellow, red, and white ports labeled "In," "Input," "Video In" or the like. Again, take time to match the color of the plug to the port into which it is being plugged.
- 3). Set the Motorola cable box to receive a feed from the DVD player. Inspect the remote that your cable TV provider gave you to control your Motorola box and see whether there is a button labeled "TV/Video," "Input," "Source" or something similar. Press it until the box is set to the video input that you used for the DVD player. You can now test the connection by powering on the DVD player and inserting a DVD.
