Guide Review - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" DVD Review
This was the only movie I recommended to everyone last year without having to preface my recommendation with, "You'll like it if you like..." "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is truly the little film that could. After it's initial release in April 2002, the movie generated such positive reviews and word-of-mouth buzz that by the end of 2002, it ended up being one of the top grossing movies of the year, and became the highest grossing romantic comedy of all time.
"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is equally appealing to both sexes, and though it's about a Greek family, 'Greek' could be easily replaced with any ethnic or religious group, so recognizable and relatable is the movie's central family theme.
