  Orlando in the state of Florida is regarded as the theme park capital of the world. Disney has several varied theme parks and destinations as well as resort accommodation. Seaworld and Universal Studios have theme parks in close proximity to International Drive and local hotels and accommodations. Walt Disney World Resort

• The Walt Disney World Resort is the central attraction in Orlando and tickets for every park can be purchased at the reception gates. Travel companies offer tickets through their services but will add a charge. The Magic Kingdom park operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with added hours for special events. The main Disney theme parks are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Universal Studios

• Universal Studios tickets can be booked through the official website, for between one and seven day excursions. The park features more than 25 rides including Harry Potter, Spider Man and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. The park incorporates, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Citywalk and three accommodations, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel and the exotic Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure open 365 days a year and operating hours normally begin at 9:00 a.m. with varying closing times. The entertainment center at Universal CityWalk operates from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., 365 days a year.

Seaworld

• Seaworld is located in close proximity to International Drive and provides aquatic entertainment from marine animals to theme park rides. The live exhibits feature sharks, polar bears, walruses and penguins, in up-close wild Arctic animal habitats. Live shows include 'Believe' featuring Shamu, the killer whale. The park has nine restaurants and places to eat and includes thrill rides such as Manta, Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic and the Skytower. Tickets can be purchased through the Seaworld website, via travel companies or on entry.
