In this article I am using shopping as a metaphor for how many people live their lives.
In a previous article I talked about the fact that where you shop determines what you buy.
You may never buy an elegant Christian Dior gown at Walmart.
So if you want one, you need to shop someplace other than Walmart.
Similarly, if you want to live your life filled with abundance and possibilities, hanging around people with a scarcity mindset offers you nothing of value.
You will not find the type of energy you need to become successful by hanging around unsuccessful people.
Can't happen! People living in the scarcity mindset will not know resources to share and recommend to you.
They can only give what they have.
They are a store of knowledge on how to "not have" what you want in life.
They can offer you "don't wants" and all kinds of negative words and energies.
If you hang out with such people, your own attitude and energy will shift.
You will become like them.
Sound like something you want to do? Would that serve you in any fashion? What do you do if you have a circle of friends who stay stuck in mediocrity? Simple solution-leave that store.
Yes, change your friends.
Find the store where successful entrepreneurs shop.
To step into the abundance mindset, move into the neighborhood where such thinkers live.
Surprisingly, you can rent a house in a very nice area for far less than you might pay for rent in the crummy place.
Socialize with people who perpetually smile, laugh, and enjoy life as it is.
How will you know when you entered that store of positive high-flyers? Notice how you feel around them.
If you feel great, then know their energy is great.
If you feel low, know your own energy may be low-or their energy may be dragging you down, and, in reality, they are not high-flyers at all.
Step into many different shops.
When you find the one that leaves you feeling terrific, note the address.
Keep shopping there.
