Dallas Cowboys Beat Denver Broncos in First Preseason Game
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Denver Broncos 24-23 thanks to a 2-point conversion caught by Martin Rucker as the clock was winding down. (Martin Rucker?)
The Cowboys third-string quarterback Stephen McGee first hit Dwayne Harris with a 13-yard-pass to score a touchdown as time was nearly running out. Then the 2-point conversion by Rucker put the Cowboys ahead with 15 seconds on the clock -- and they won the first preseason game of the year before the home crowd in Arlington.
Tony Romo and the other big-name players got a few minutes of playing time -- but the night was all about working out the new players who are trying to make the squad. And winning.
