How to Install a GSM Card
- 1). Power down the wireless GSM cell phone. You must use a GSM cell phone as other wireless signals such as CDMA (used by Sprint and Verizon) do not have SIM card slots.
- 2). Open the SIM card slot. The exact location will vary depending on the cell phone you are using. Many SIM card slots are located near the battery compartment.
- 3). Slide the SIM card into the open card slot, then place the card cover back over the SIM card (often this is the battery clip cover).
- 4). Power on the wireless GSM cell phone and wait for the operating system to load. Once it loads it displays the phone number saved on the current SIM card. Now all phone calls you make from the phone appear as calls from the number saved to the specific SIM.
