Registry Editor

• 1). Open the Start Menu and type "regedit" into the search bar and press "Enter."
  
  
• 2). Navigate to the subkey "KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" by expanding each directory in the left pane of the Registry Editor to find the following directory.
  
  
• 3). Right click in the right pane of the Registry Editor when you open the subkey and choose "New." Select "DWORD" and type the name as "TaskbarNoThumbnail" when prompted.
  
  
• 4). Double click the entry you just created to change the value to "1" instead of "0".
  
  
• 5). Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer by selecting "Restart" in the Start Menu.
