• Your hard drive contains all of your computer's files and determines the final capacity of your PC. Its size is also measured in either MB (megabytes) or GB (gigabytes). Windows XP MCE requires 60 GB of available hard space on static systems and 30 GB on mobile systems.
  
  

Peripherals

• Windows XP Media Center Edition also requires a 64 MB DDR 4x AGP DirectX 9 graphics card along with a 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 720 resolution monitor. Both hardware pieces are necessary for the operating system to display graphics and video.
  
  In addition, you need a DVD drive (4x DVD and 16x CD reading speeds), a mouse, a keyboard and Internet connection. As an option you would also need an MCE remote control and a TV tuner adapter.
