My Friends Tigger & Pooh - Overview

An updated, colorful, CG animated version of the classic stories by A.A. Milne, My Friends Tigger & Pooh stars our favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood - Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit and Lumpy (introduced in Pooh's Heffalump Movie, 2005) - along with two new pals, six-year-old Darby and her puppy Buster.

Each episode of My Friends Tigger & Pooh revolves around solving a mystery in the Hundred Acre Wood. When the "sleuther siren" sounds, Super Sleuths Darby, Buster, Pooh and Tigger are first on the scene. Together, they "think, think, think," until they unravel the mystery, and they always learn something new in the process.

Whether they are helping Rabbit with a conundrum in the garden, or piglet with a frightful dilemma, the Super Sleuths are certain to impart a humorous, musical, and thoughtful adventure.

My Friends Tigger & Pooh - Curriculum

During their mysterious adventures, Darby and her familiar friends encourage kids to "think" along with them as they go through the process of investigation and discovery. The characters model reflective thinking and problem solving skills, and the interactive format allows some time for viewing children to practice the skills themselves.

Many times, the show also incorporates a fact or two about nature or science, as well as lessons about cooperation and responsibility.

While the stories and the depth of character development will not compare to the original whimsical tales (and we wouldn't expect them to do so), My Friends Tigger & Pooh brings to kids the basic friendly charm and inquisitive innocence that has characterized the Winnie the Pooh characters since A.A. Milne first brought them to life. These endearing characters, along with fun music and well-incorporated classic Pooh and friends phrases, make the show a sure winner with kids.

The characters, each with a unique approach to problem-solving, offer kids a simple, strong example of a positive analytical attitude. When kids run into a question of their own, it will be easy for them to remember to "think, think, think!"
