How to Prevent Floor Tile From Breaking at the End When Cutting It
- 1). Measure the tile and use a permanent pen to mark the top where you will be cutting. Make the mark along the entire length of the tile.
- 2). Turn on a wet saw and make sure the holding tank has the required amount of water. The water keeps the tile cool as the blade cuts.
- 3). Line up the tile along the saw's cut line. Slowly slide the tile onto the cutting blade. Only cut the tile halfway.
- 4). Remove the tile and turn it over. Line up the tile and complete the cut from the other side. This prevents the ends from breaking.
