Are You As Faithful As You Think You Are?
Consistent communication seems to be the key to any successful relationship.
An engagement, friendship or partnership requires up keep by both or all parties involved.
We apparently understand these basic principals, for our earthly associations but, seem to falter when practicing the same techniques with our heavenly partner.
While examining the afore mentioned idea, consider the result of God putting us in second place.
Only talking to us when things are good, or when He needed us.
Never doing what we ask of Him, and ignoring the love we offer.
I would venture to say that our lives would not be worth living.
As Christians (those who follow Christ) we are taught that faith is believing, without seeing.
We believe in God, and haven't seen Him "physically", we believe in a heaven and many of us have not been there either...
with the exception of claims from those with near death experiences.
But have we been taught to keep our faith in God when our daily lives are not favorable? I find myself wondering how to keep the faith.
As I wonder I am reminded that God is who He is, regardless of me believing or not.
My faith is not an end result of my money, car, house, relationship or job (or lack thereof).
But faith is just that...
faith.
Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen.
The substance is the renewed hope I receive, when I believe God will make a way for me.
The evidence is present in everyday that I'm allowed to see, and use as an opportunity to "try again".
Although I may not like what is going on in my life, and I may not appreciate the disappointments, I maintain believing in a God that believes in me.
Faith is not what automatically changes night to day, but it is what carries you through the transition.
We all know that after midnight, day break will soon arise, because that's the way it's always been.
The same with life, no matter how dark it is, a better day will come, because that's the way it's always been.
A few action steps that keep me faithful to God: • Take quiet time out for just "us"- It can be five, ten, or fifteen minutes a day...
whatever the time frame is, just commit to it.
• Read the Bible via online or even a daily devotional- • Listen to edifying music - there are so many different genre's of Christian music (rap, country, rock, etc) visit my website for more ideas.
• Pray - doesn't have to be really long, or dry.
God the father just wants us to talk to Him.
• Count your blessings- find something to be grateful for...

Life, sight, a bill paid! "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
