Drawer Slide Mounting Tool Instructions
- 1). Measure the length of the drawer to determine how long the drawer slides will need to be. Run a tape measure from the back of the drawer to the front and record the measurement of the length. Line up the slide on each side of the drawer to make sure it fits properly and set the drawer on a steady surface.
- 2). Attach the first drawer slide with its front edge back 1/16 of an inch from the front of the drawer. Screw it in place with two No. 6 wood screws into the provided holes at the desired location on the drawer. Attach the drawer slide to the back of the drawer with two No. 6 screws in the provided holes exactly like the front side was attached.
- 3). Measure the distance from the bottom of the drawer to the bottom of the drawer slide and record the measurement. Line up the second drawer slide on the opposite side of the drawer. Measure and mark the same distance that was previously measured so the drawer slides are at the exact same height.
- 4). Install the second drawer slide just like the first one was installed. Secure it in place with No. 6 wood screws in both the front and the back of the slide. Set a board on the slides to make sure they move back and forth properly.
