How to Seal Laminate Floors
- 1). Install your first laminate flooring plank on the floor by placing it with the tongue side towards the wall.
- 2). Pick up your second piece of laminate flooring that will attach to your first piece. Lay it on a table so it's easily accessible.
- 3). Run a bead of glue on the tongue that will snap into your first plank. When you glue laminate floors, use glue all the way across the tongue to help ensure a tight seal between laminate flooring planks.
- 4). Slide the tongue that you applied the glue to into the groove on the first laminate flooring plank. Snap the plank down to it sits flush with your subfloor.
- 5). Look for glue you applied to the plank seam to seep through the top of your laminate flooring. Wipe it away with a wet sponge.
- 6). Apply glue to the seams between each laminate flooring plank to seal laminate floors.
