Step-by-Step Instructions for Ratchet Strap Assembly
- 1). Clip each hook on the ratchet to something solid that will be able to endure strain.
- 2). Open the handle on the ratchet strap and thread the webbing strap underneath the spool of the handle and back out in the direction it came from.
- 3). Continue pulling the webbing through until there is no more slack, making sure the webbing does not become twisted. Push the handle down to tighten the strap as it enters the spool, then pull up on it so that more webbing can be threaded through and tightened. Make sure there are at least 2 or 3 wraps around the spool.
- 4). Finish tightening the strap, then push the handle all the way down to lock the strap in place.
