Tap Into Your Infinite Potential by Giving an End to Procrastination

30
The 1st area that I'd like to focus on is: Procrastination.

Do we think that procrastination is only about putting off our to-do list? Well… it's not only this!

How do you recognise procrastination?

Your body feels immobilised or frozen when you want to do something
You are travelling in the past (guilt-trip) for what has not been done, or, you are in traveling in the future (negative images you project of the future if you fail to do what you want to do- fear of the future)
You are in conflict. One part of you, the rational mind, wants to do what it knows it needs to do, or what it needs to stop doing (like smoking, drinking alcohol, food cravings etc.) whilst the other part resists in taking action against what the rational part wants to do

You have a gremlin sitting on your shoulder, next to your ear, constantly saying these typical phrases:

I know things will work fine for me one day (what, or which day, no one knows…)
    It's the economy's fault, my husband's fault, my neighbour's fault, the dollar's fault…
I am not ready to take action yet (when will you be?)
I should be more ‘lucky' ( what does lucky mean to you?)
Maybe I should accept things as they are ( what if you did not accept them as they are now, coul dthey be better if you took action?)
I feel lazy to do this now ( when will you feel less lazy if not now?)

Wishing, hoping and putting the responsibility on someone else for what you create or attract is typical of who is in conflict between doing or not doing, and who finally does not take action unless there is some kind of disaster (let's say, a fire) and eventually something needs to be done!

Are you in, or out of your prosperity zone?

B putting off things for a moment and dwelling in doubt, fear, escapism and self-delusion will not change the reality that you create! Being in inertia, hoping that something outside of you will create the miracle out of the blue that you need is NOT the solution. The truth is things will not change no matter how much you want it just by your thought or wish.

If you continue doing what you always do with the same approach, you will, more or less, get the same results.

Quick tips on How to Let Go of Procrastination and Take Action Now:

Resolve the internal conflict that makes you linger in inertia-land, stopping the lies you have been telling yourself up to now (rationalisation of reality)
Associate more pleasure in taking action and pain in not taking action. With this simple fun tool and by adding provocative language/keywords to break the procrastinating pattern right away
Create a plan that allows your creative juices to start flowing, as well as gives you some hours that you can spend doing what you want to do. Eating a huge pizza in small bites rather than swallowing the whole thing all in one go, especially when left to the last moment will not only exhaust you, but also gives you poor results as you did not give yourself a chance to maximise your potential. Live 5 minutes at a time with mini goals that you keep track of that will lead you to the bigger goal!
See the scope or purpose of what you do, and why you do what you do. How does this unite you with your divine purpose?
See the Big, Bad picture: What is the worst thing that will happen to me, my body and my relationships if I keep doing what I do in 5 to 10 years from now?
Whatever your decision is… do it NOW! Quit smoking, drinking or binging NOW! This is the only way you tackle a problem – you start taking action NOW! ‘Decide' is a Latin root word meaning ‘cut from the past'.

If you want to change do not complain about what is happening around you. Look into yourself, and start taking action. Choose to be a doer. Live your present knowing that the more you do, the more power you have in your own life.

A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided. – Tony Robbins
