How to Shape Tiles
- 1). Draw an outline of the angle or rounded cut on the back of the tile. This is done to determine how much can be removed with which type of cut.

Cut all of the straight lines that you can with the tile cutter. This tool only cuts straight lines. This allows you to remove the large sections before you to start making the smaller more intricate curved cuts. - 3). Use the tile nippers to remove the smaller sections to bring you closer to the lines you have drawn. Do not try to take too much at one time. Start the cuts on an end and work your way to the middle. The nippers have a small surface area one to two inches across. Try not to cut completely to the line.

Use the grinder to round the edges and work toward the line. This tool is a small hand-held grinder with a hard disc on one end that is four to six inches across. Carefully remove the points and then gently round by barely touching the tile. This will create a precise rounded corner.
