Florence is a city in the northern tip of Kentucky that is close to the Ohio River. Although it is less than 20 miles away from the attractions in Cincinnati in Ohio, it also located in a fairly rural area that offers opportunities for fishing, boating and camping. No RV parks are located directly in Florence, but two are in the immediate area. - The Oak Creek Campground has been in business for more than 40 years. It is about 10 miles south of Florence in Walton, and it is open year-round. It has 99 RV sites as well as four sites for tent camping. Of those 99 sites, 93 are back-ins. The sites come with water, electric and cable TV hookups as well as wireless Internet. Electric up to 50 amps is available at a campground that also has reduced rates for weekly and monthly stays. A swimming pool is open during the warmer months is on the grounds. The campground holds various activities such as military weekends when military members are charged half the normal rate, Christmas in July and pig roasts.

oakcreekcampground.com - Five miles west of Florence in the town of Burlington, the River Ridge Park has RV sites that are equipped with water, sewer and electric connections up to 50 amps. Each site has a picnic table. All of the sites are back-ins. Tent sites are also on a property with features such as a grocery store, swimming pool, horseshoe pits, a laundry facility, a playground and a basketball court. Fishermen will like the fact the park has a boat ramp and fishing is allowed in the adjacent river. Daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal rates are all available at a campground open from April 1 to Nov. 1. Some of the RV sites are located along the river.

riverridgepark.com - The I-75 Camper Village is approximately 20 miles south of Florence in Dry Ridge, and as the name would suggest, is right off an exit of Interstate 75. The campground is along the shores of Boltz Lake and has a boat dock. Camping options include RV sites with water, sewer and electrical hook-ups of either 30 or 50 amps. Primitive tent sites are also on a property that offers free wireless Internet. Amenities include restrooms, showers, a laundry room, a play ground and a dump station. Extended stay and weekend rates are available. Located one mile from a mall, the campground has a storage area for boats, campers and RVs. Fishing licences can be purchased at the campground.
