On January 29, 2009, Lt. Governor Pat Quinn was sworn in as the new Illinois governor soon after Governor Rod Blagojevich was impeached and removed from office. Quinn was sworn in by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke. Quinn's son, Patrick, is holding the bible.
