If you live in the area and run a daycare center for toddlers or are a parent looking for fun activities for your little one, visit one of several areas that cater to young children. - Take your group of toddlers to Gymboree Play & Music for a special party. While the business mainly hosts birthday parties, it is available for all types of celebrations. A number of themes are offered designed with young children in mind. Have a party with a farmyard, ocean, construction, train, superhero, jungle or dinosaur theme. Some of the themes include dress-up clothes. A trained Gymboree teacher will be on hand to lead the group. Parties include special invitations, all supplies and a gift bag for each toddler. Up to 20 children can be accommodated at once.

Located on more than 40 acres, 500 different species of animals can be found, including African elephants, white tigers, zebras, saltwater fish and giraffes. Schedule a special program in the zoo's education classroom, where zoo employees will tailor a program specifically for the age range of your group. Toddlers age 2 and younger get free admission. Reservations for large groups are recommended.

Take your toddlers to ARTWORKS Galleries I and II, where they'll have the chance to discover art in a hands on way. Plan your visit when the annual puppet show, "Colors of the City," takes place. The show introduces children to shapes and colors. The galleries have more than 40 exhibits, all of which are interactive. Toddlers can touch the many pieces of art, learning about texture and movement.
